Navigator, Inc. congratulates the 21 winners of B-Metro’s 2010 Annual “Excellence in Nursing” awards! These impressive individuals have  completed over 50 degree programs and additional certifications among them and serve UAB Medical Center, Brookwood Medical Center, Princeton Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Trinity Medical Center, Cooper Green Mercy Hospital, Shelby Baptist Medical Center, and the Birmingham Veteran Affairs Medical Center, along with the Ida V. Moffett School of Nursing of Samford University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. With specialties ranging from Women’s Health, Coronary Care, and Bariatric Surgery to Health Literacy, Pediatric Obesity, and Developmental Disabilities, these nurses demonstrate their diverse skills, knowledge, spirit, and compassion in the doctor’s office, the classroom, and the community. Whether they provide direct patient care or work behind the scenes in administrative and teaching roles, Navigator is proud to honor these 21 nurses who are truly excellent at what they do.
